Infrastructure Officer

The Shire of Brookton is seeking a full time Infrastructure Officer to join our infrastructure team.

This full time (38 hours per week) position provides administrative support to the Infrastructure area with a focus on Asset Management using RAMM, grants and aquittals and aids implementation and management of OH&S for the infrastructure and operation areas.

The remuneration is $29.00 to $32.00 per hour dependent on experience with up to 13.5% Superannuation on a 3 year fixed term contract.

Expression of Interest - Customer Service Officer

The Shire of Brookton are in search of people who would like to join the Shire as casual administration/customer service officers.

We are looking for people who can provide high levels of administration & customer service to all our residents and visitors to the Shire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wide range of administration duties and responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the Customer Service front desk.
  • You will play the vital role of being the first point of contact for anyone visiting the Admin Centre or making telephone contact. High level customer interaction skills are essential.
  • You will be responding to questions and queries across a wide range of Council services.
  • You will offer a wide range of administrative support to the Shire such as receipting, issuing forms, assisting with information and so on.
  • You will maintain systems and processes for all administrative functions at the Shire.
  • Perform ad hoc duties and responsibilities as and when required.

What we expect from you:

  • Previous administrative or customer services experience would be advantageous but not essential (training will be provided)
  • A proficiency with computers including emails and MS Office.
  • Personable, enthusiastic and friendly phone manner
  • Attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of great customer service
  • Strong time management skills
  • The ability to work as a team player
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task
  • Reliable and have a mature outlook to deal with fast-paced, quick changing and at times, stressful environment.
  • Flexibility in being able to work at short notice and on any day of the week

All applicants must be willing to obtain a police clearance certificate and undergo a pre-employment medical.

The position is CASUAL and it is expected that suitably trained people would be called in to cover for staff leave, sick days and so on. 

Please note this is not a permanent position and there is no guarantee of regular work.

Rates: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (all inclusive) depending upon skills and qualifications.
