CLEANER

PART TIME ROLE – 38 HOURS PER FORTNIGHT

 Hourly Wage $33.7741

Level 2, Municipal Employees (Western Australia) Award 2021

The Shire is seeking a Cleaner who is an energetic and self-motivated person, who takes pride in their work, can ensure our facilities are cleaned and well maintained, whilst providing a friendly, professional service.

Ideally the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • High level use of initiative and a self-starter able to work as a contributing team member in an un-supervised work environment.
  • A current “C” class Motor Drivers Licence.
  • Proactive problem solver who takes great interest in the buildings in which they work.
  • A fit and active person able to meet the requirements of this physical work.
  • Able to work flexible hours to suit change in cleaning roster.
  • Experience with cleaning products and equipment.

In return the Shire is offering a remuneration package inclusive of:

  • An hourly wage rate of $33.7741 per hour.
  • Superannuation of up to 15.5%.
  • 4 weeks annual leave per annum with 17.5% leave loading on a pro-rata basis.
  • Pro-rata personal leave
  • 2 recreation days between Christmas & New Year.

MANAGER INFRASTRUCTURE AND WORKS

FULL TIME ROLE 3-5 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT

The Shire of Brookton is seeking an enthusiastic and capable local government professional to join our Executive Leadership Team.

Located just 90 minutes from Perth, Brookton offers an excellent country lifestyle combined with the opportunity to build broad executive experience in a progressive and improvement-focused rural local government.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager Infrastructure and Works is a senior management position responsible for the management of the Shire’s road and drainage network, waste and sewerage facilities, parks and recreational facilities and integrated water system.

To be considered for this position you should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in local government or experience in civil engineering in a related field or in a similar role covering the key areas of:

  • Proven project planning skills.
  • Financial management and budget preparation experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and local government operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a multidisciplinary team.

The position will be a 3 to 5 year negotiated contract with a total remuneration package of up to $189,197, including cash salary of up to $126,776 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience).
