Community Chest Fund

The Community Chest Fund replaces the Les McMullen Memorial Recreation Grants Fund and increases the opportunity for all Not for Profit community groups based in the Shire of Brookton to apply for funding.

There are several new categories of funding available for Community groups. These are:

Annual Community Funding

• • Community & Strategic Partnership up to a maximum of $10,000 in one year.
  • Equipment Purchase - Up to $1000 cash support per financial year.
  • Not for Profit Community Organisation Assistance - maximum $1000 per annum.
  • Community Support – up to a maximum of $6000 cash support per financial year. (Matched Funding)

Individual Funding:

• • Individuals – up to $500 cash per year per financial year.
  • Not for Profit Community Organisation - Member – up to $500 cash per group per financial year per group.
  • Youth Leadership Development - up to $5000 cash support per financial year.

There is also a new form (see below) that is required to be completed for all funding, and a new set of conditions that all potential funding/grant applicants are required to read before making any application. The pool of funding across all the funding types is set at $20,000 per annum.

Once the funds have been expended in a financial year, no further funding or donations will be made in that financial year.
