On Thursday 22nd April the Shire of Brookton in Conjunction with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services will be undertaking a control Burn on a Parcel of land on Tiller Street Brookton. This burn will commence at 3:00pm and should be finished by 7:00pm. The total area being burnt is Approx. 1 hectare in size.
We wish to advise there may be smoke in the area and wish to advise to lock all doors and windows to minimise smoke entering your premises. Please re-consider any washing or planned activities you have planned that may be affected by smoke. These burn activities are important mitigation programs to lower fuel loads within the town site of Brookton to better protect the town during the Bush Fire season.
