Brookton Senior Citizen Homes

The Shire of Brookton has the following units available for rent;

  • Unit 8/40 White Street, Brookton WA 6306            (1 x bedroom, 1 x bathroom - Duplex)
  • Unit 1/33 Whittington Street, Brookton WA 6306   (3 x bedroom, 1 x bathroom)

However, in order to be successful in renting on of these units, you must meet satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, with proof of identity (ie passport, driver’s licence or similar);
  • Be 55 years of age or above;
  • Be living in the Central Wheatbelt Region;
  • Be able to live ‘independently’ as assessed by a qualified medical practitioner or similar qualified person.

If you can address the above you need to complete an ‘application to rent form’ and provide formal identification to the Shire. 

The form is available to download here and additional documentation (identification) is to be submitted to Ms Courtney Fulwood, Executive Officer via email eo@brookton.wa.gov.au , posted to PO Box 42, Brookton WA 6306 or hand delivered to 14 White Street, Brookton WA 6306.

Please note applications must be received by 4.15 pm Friday 19th October 2018.

Community Housing

Council in partnership with Housing Authority owns 4 townhouses for the purposes of providing low income families with accommodation choices in Brookton. The units are conveniently located adjacent to Madison Square Park on Williams Street, just across the railway line and within walking distance of the centre of Brookton.

The units are managed by Council staff and adhere to Housing Authority rental criteria and Tenancy Agreements.

Units consist of:

  • 2 x 3 bedroom units
  • 2 x 2 bedroom units

All units are unfurnished.
