3 Year Fixed Term Contract  (76 Hour Fortnight)

The Shire of Brookton is seeking an energetic and self-motivated person to fill the position of Plant Operator / General Hand with Council’s Works Crew.

 Ideally the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • A basic level of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A keen interest and some experience in all aspects of road maintenance.
  • A current “HR” class Motor Drivers Licence (HC highly desirable).
  • Experience operating various machines including Loader, Skid Steer and Back Hoe

The rate of pay is in accordance with the Local Government Industry Award 2010 Level 4 and Council Policy, $44,000 to $53,000 per annum dependent of experience.

The Shire Works crew operate on a nine day fortnight basis.
