INFRASTRUCTURE OFFICER

The Shire of Brookton is looking for a person with administrative experience and knowledge who can deliver effective support to the Shire’s Works, Occupation Safety and Health and Emergency Management functions.

Located only 138km east, south-east of the Perth Metropolitan area along the Brookton Highway, we enjoy a true rural community-based lifestyle with the hustle and bustle of the city only an hour away along the picturesque Brookton Hwy.

Council seeks to appoint a suitably experienced and passionate person to fulfil this role within the Shire.

The position is offered on a full time basis with an inclusive remuneration package of up to $65,774 per annum dependent upon experience.

TRAINEE - CIVIL CONSTRUCTION

The Shire of Brookton is seeking an energetic and self-motivated person to fill the newly created position of Trainee with Shire’s Construction Crew. The position is required to fulfil, as a minimum, a Certificate II in Civil Construction.

Ideally the successful candidate will possess:

 A basic level of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
 A keen interest in aspects of civil construction maintenance of the Shire’s roads and infrastructure.
 A current “C” class Motor Drivers Licence is desirable.

The rate of pay is up to $18.93 plus allowances in accordance with the Local Government Industry Award 2010 Level 1 and dependent upon the age of the applicant.

A nine day fortnight also applies to this position.
