Ordinary Council Meetings
Council Meetings commence at 1:30pm on the third Thursday of each month and all members of the public are welcome to attend. Council Meetings are held at the Shire Administration Office in the Council Chambers, and a provision for 'public question time' is allocated at the beginning of each meeting. Any items for consideration by Council must be with the Chief Executive Officer 8 days prior to the Meeting. This allows for the item to be included in the Agenda, which provides Councillors time to consider the matter and conduct any research required. Late items generally will not be considered. The dates fixed for Ordinary Council meetings for 2009 are:
- No meeting in January 2009
- 19 February 2009
- 19 March 2009
- 16 April 2009
- 21 May 2009
- 18 June 2009
- 16 July 2009
- 20 August 2009
- 17 September 2009

Public Meetings
From time to time the Council will call a public meeting on an item of community interest. Wide advertising is given to such meetings.
